Our Falconry Response does require skilled and experienced Falconers, which unfortunately comes with a price tag. However, we pride ourselves on offering our services at a justifiable and affordable price. Why not give us a call? You will be surprised as to how we work and how much it costs, especially compared to our competitors.
Frequently asked Questions
Q: Won't your service be too expensive for us
Q: Do you offer Falconry Displays?
No, our birds are specifically trained for Pest Control.
Q: All birds are protected, how is what you do legal?
We work within the guidelines under licenses set out by DEFRA and Natural England, fully complying with the "Wildlife and Countryside Act of 1981".
Before we undertake any work we make sure it is covered by the licenses we have, if additional licenses are required we will complete all the paperwork on your behalf, before any work begins.
Q: Do you allow your birds to kill?
Any company offering a Falconry Response is fibbing if they say their birds don't kill. Birds of Prey are predators and like all predators their instincts are to hunt. Therefore even though we don't actively encourage our birds to kill any of the Pest Species, it does happen from time to time.
We also believe in encouraging the birds natural instincts and therefore every year we practice the true art of Falconry allowing our Birds to hunt quarry in a natural environment.
Q: We have tried Falconers before, but it didn't work. So why should we try you?
This is a common question and the simple answer is... the previous guys didn't effectively complete the job.
Pest birds are relentless, just like you would be if someone was trying to push you away from your food source or home, this means we have to be relentless too. We build an action plan based on the pest and the problem at hand using every trick we have, these plans tend to include random visits at random times, with the correct birds for the job. Along with nest removal, night visits and so much more.
Q: Where are you based?
Our base of operation is near Deal, but we provide services throughout the UK.
Q: What birds of prey do you work with?
We currently work with over 15 species of Bird of Prey ranging from Sparrow Hawks up to Large Tribred (Pere x Saker x Gyr) Falcons and Ferruginous Hawks. We even work with a few Birds like Kestrels and Common Buzzards that are only used as Ambassadors for our company.
What our clients say
I am over the moon with the contract and how Sky Raiders are helping to resolve our pest issue. I can honestly say you have achieved more in 3 months than the other company managed in 3 years.
The Sky Raiders team accompanied by a Bird of Prey persuaded our seagulls, without causing them any harm, to find somewhere else to raise their young. A very professional, friendly service, with good results, and at a reasonable price.
Being a Waste Processing Facility situated next to a river we obviously attract unwanted pests. Within no time they had the problem under control and we no longer have pest birds on-site. We will continue to use Sky Raiders and would highly recommend them to anybody else that needs a professional reliable service to deal with these kind of problems
Excessive amount of pest birds resting on our cropped fields were becoming an issue. Controls such as gas guns were not making an impact other than annoying our residential neighbours, and crop covers were also not deterring them. Since using Sky Raiders, we have seen a significant drop in the numbers of birds flying over and landing on our fields. It has been beneficial, proactive and well received by our customer.
